The Better Conference Camera: The Logitech Meetup vs the Angekis Saber

The Better Conference Camera: The Logitech Meetup vs the Angekis Saber

Online conferencing has proven itself to be both time saving and effective. Reduced travel cost and time has saved companies and businesses tons of money and hours over the years. A successful video conference can be broken down into many key components, one of the most important being the visual aspect. With that, the camera used can be the deciding factor between a good conference and a bad conference. A clear resolution, high quality camera tells other businesses that you are successful and trustworthy. If the camera fails or the screen is blurry, it creates a negative image for the company.

The Logitech Meetup and the Angekis Saber are two of the best conference cameras available. Both displaying high quality and clear images, they are two of the best in the video imaging industry. There are, however, a few differences between the two.

Logitech Meetup

The Logitech Meetup has been tailored to provide huddle/conference rooms with the best viewing possible with its widened camera. It makes sure everyone is seen, and with its integrated audio system, sound is optimized for the conference room. A few defining features include:

  • All-in-one audio and video
  • Motorized pan and tilt with Logitech lens
  • Certified for business
  • 3 camera presets
  • Wireless Bluetooth technology
  • Multiple mounting options
  • High-quality audio
  • 4K Ultra HD video calling
  • 3-microphone speakerphone
  • RightSense technologies built-in
  • Extended range with expansion mic for Meetup
  • Premium 5 times zoom

Logitech Meetup was designed to make conferencing more convenient and it does that and more.

Angekis Saber IP 20x

The Angekis Saber was designed “made ready to use” for fast and easy use in the conference room. This state-of-the-art camera provides high definition video to improve the overall quality of the video conference. The features include:

  • 2x digital zoom and 20x optical zoom
  • 3D noise reduction feature
  • 60-degree fOV
  • 1080p video over IP
  • Support for H.264 and H.265 encoding
  • IP, SD, HDMI, and USB
  • Daisy chain support
  • Functional IR remote controller
  • Stunning PTZ mechanical design
  • State-of-the-art focusing algorithm
  • POE support
  • Accurate pan-tilt control

The Better Conference Camera

Engineered for efficiency and high quality, the Angekis Saber IP 20x delivers clear, high definition video imaging. However, compared to the Logitech Meetup it lacks an integrated audio system. The Logitech Meetup is more of an all-in-one video conferencing tool. It includes the visual AND audio aspects of a conference while the Angekis Saber only covers the visual portion. In terms of camera quality, however, the Angekis Saber offers 20x optical zoom resulting in clearer images than the Meetup’s 5x zoom.

For conference meetings, the better choice would be the Logitech Meetup. The Angekis Saber’s extra zoom offers little for a real conference meeting. The zoom would be used little and ,therefore, negates the only advantage the Saber had. The Logitech Meetup, on the other hand, not only provides clear, stable and impressive images, it also integrates the conference audio into the sound. Its systems were designed for the business setting allowing it to outperform the Angekis Saber.

With the rise in video conferencing, the need for better cameras and systems becomes more apparent. Contact us, today for more information on conference products, techniques and strategies to make your next conference an overall success.
